FERRARI REPORTEDLY FACED DELAYS AHEAD OF THE SF-26 LAUNCH

As we approach the 2026 season, movement inside the paddock seems more intense than ever, with teams rushing to complete everything before the closed-door test begins in Barcelona on January 26.
According to Giuliano Duchessa and Autoracer.it, Ferrari is facing delays in its schedule due to late changes to the SF-26 prior to assembly.

While some sources report a situation of chaos inside Maranello, others describe it as part of Vasseur’s aggressive working approach, pushing timelines to their limits in order to evaluate as many solutions as possible. The team principal has already stated that “the car will probably be assembled on January 22, just one day before the official launch.”

Many fans also pointed out how Ferrari still did not post an engine fire-up video on their platforms as per usual before every Formula 1 season, with sources claiming it could come out at any moment.

In the meantime, both Leclerc and Hamilton have completed their seat fittings, and the chassis was officially signed off not long ago, with Ferrari aiming to have everything ready for Barcelona, where the focus will be on testing the reliability of the brand-new power unit.

It looks like we are set for a very interesting start to the season, with teams pushing the boundaries in an effort to gain an advantage ahead of Melbourne on March 8.
