DAVID ALONSO AND HOLGADO ON THE VERGE OF MOTOGP PROMOTION

Several MotoGP Teams are interested in promoting Aspar Moto2 Riders. David Alonso and Daniel Holgado are attracting interest from multiple MotoGP teams ahead of the 2027 regulation changes.

David Alonso, 19, has been rumoured to have agreed a deal with Honda to race for their factory team from 2027 onwards, potentially partnering Fabio Quartararo. The Colombian rider dominated the 2024 Moto3 championship, securing 14 wins from 20 races.

Since moving up to Moto2, Alonso has claimed another victory along with four additional podium finishes. There is also reported interest from both Gresini Racing and Tech3 KTM, who are expected to undergo significant line-up changes in 2027.

Daniel Holgado, 20, is also believed to be in talks with both Gresini and Tech3. The Spaniard took four Moto3 wins across three seasons and, in his rookie Moto2 campaign, has already secured a further two victories. He is reportedly in the final stages of agreeing a deal with Gresini to ride a Ducati for his MotoGP debut.

Both Aspar riders are widely expected to feature on the 2027 MotoGP grid, as teams look to secure the next generation of world championship-calibre talent.
