FERRARI TARGETS NEW ENGINE DEBUT IN AUSTRIA
Ferrari is reportedly planning to introduce its new engine package at the Austrian Grand Prix, as the team looks to give Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc a more complete car.
According to Canal+ commentator Julien Fébreau, the Scuderia is aiming to bring the new power unit to Spielberg, which could be one of its most important updates of the season. The report has been widely shared, although Ferrari has not yet made an official confirmation.
Ferrari has already shown strong performance in the corners this season, but the team still wants to improve in other areas of the lap to get to Mercedes. A stronger engine package is what the car misses become more competitive against the silver arrows.
For Hamilton and Leclerc, this could be an important step. If the upgrade works as expected, Ferrari may have a better chance of fighting for more than podiums and putting pressure on its main rivals.
The Austrian Grand Prix could therefore become a key weekend for Ferrari’s season. The car already has strong cornering potential, but the new engine may be the missing piece needed to make it competitive across the whole track.
