FORMULA 3 ADDS EXTRA FEATURE RACE AT MADRING
Formula 3 has confirmed that an additional Feature Race will be held at the Madring circuit to make up for the cancellation of the Bahrain round earlier this season.
To accommodate the extra race, the championship weekend will feature two separate qualifying sessions. The first qualifying session will set the grid for both the Sprint Race and the first Feature Race, which will take place on Saturday. A second qualifying session will then determine the starting order for the second Feature Race on Sunday.
The revised format gives drivers another opportunity to score valuable championship points while replacing the lost race from Bahrain.
Formula 3 has also announced a collective test at the Madring, scheduled for August 24 and 25. The test will allow teams and drivers to gather data and prepare for the unique demands of the new circuit before the race weekend.
The additional Feature Race is expected to play an important role in the 2026 Formula 3 title battle since it will be the last race of the season.
