JORGE MARTIN SET TO REPLACE FABIO QUARTARARO AT YAMAHA IN 2027

After the bombshell news of Fabio Quartararo heading to Honda, the next piece of the puzzle seems to be slotting into place. 2024 Champion Jorge Martin is being lined up to replace the Frenchman at the Japanese manufacturer, as per Motorsport.com.

Jorge Martin’s time at Aprilia has been tumultuous, with tension from both sides when Martin attempted to break contract early to sign for Honda mid way through 2025. However after picking up Quartararo, that opportunity appears to have dissappeared for the Spanish rider and replacing El Diablo at Yamaha may be his best option.

Yamaha have been looking to rebuild with the introduction of the V4 engine at the end of the 2025 season and with a rider looking to be the main man in a project, Martin appears to be the best solution for them.

The Spaniard is expected to sign a 2 year deal with Yamaha for the 2027 and 2028 MotoGP seasons, and will be aiming to lead them back to the front of the field.
