TEAM VERSTAPPEN SUFFERS HEARTBREAK AT FIRST NURBURGRING 24H
Team Verstappen’s dream run at the Nurburgring 24 Hours came to a painful end after a driveshaft problem hit the #3 car while it was fighting for victory.
The team had been one of the strongest contenders in the race. After leading for several hours and building a gap of more than 30 seconds, the car looked capable of winning on its debut at the famous Nordschleife.
But the race changed when Dani Juncadella had to bring the car back to the pits with a mechanical issue. The team tried to repair the problem and get the car back out, but the damage ended their hopes of fighting for the win.
It was a cruel moment for Team Verstappen, especially after such a strong performance from the full crew. Max Verstappen, Juncadella, Jules Gounon and Lucas Auer had shown serious pace and looked ready to challenge for a famous result.
