MARIO ISOLA WILL LEAVE PIRELLI ON JULY 1ST

Mario Isola will step down from his role of Formula 1 Tyre chief at Pirelli and start a new professional experience. From March 1, Dario Marrafuschi will become the new head of Pirelli’s Motorsport business unit.

Isola will continue working on Formula 1 activities until July 1. This will help ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities.

Dario Marrafuschi is the replacement

Pirelli confirmed the news in an official statement. Dario Marrafuschi will now lead the Motorsport division. In his new role, he will report directly to Giovanni Tronchetti Provera, Executive Vice President for Sustainability, New Mobility & Motorsport.

Marrafuschi has been with Pirelli for almost twenty years. He worked for many years in Formula 1 in the Research and Development department. In recent years, he led the development of Pirelli’s road car products. His experience in both racing and road tires makes him well prepared for this position.

A New Chapter for Mario Isola

Mario Isola’s time at Pirelli lasted thirty years. He first joined the company as a test driver. Over time, he worked his way up through different roles. In November 2021, he became Motorsport Director.

Isola is widely respected in the motorsport world. From this summer, he will begin a new professional challenge. According to reports, he is expected to take an important role within Italian motorsport.

Pirelli thanked Isola for his dedication and passion, recognizing his important contribution to the development of the Motorsport business unit over the years.
