BEZZECCHI DOMINATES BRAZILIAN GRAND PRIX
Aprilia was clearly the strongest team in the Brazilian Grand Prix at Goiânia, and Marco Bezzecchi led the way, winning again and moving into the championship lead after a calm and dominant performance.
Before the race even started, things were already unusual. The race distance was suddenly reduced from 31 laps to 23 because of problems with the track surface.
This came after repairs had been done the day before, and there were concerns about safety. The decision was made very late, when riders were already on the grid, so no one could change tyres or strategy.
At the start, Bezzecchi reacted quickly and passed pole-sitter Fabio Di Giannantonio into the first corner. From that moment, he began to build a gap, and just one lap later, Di Giannantonio made a mistake and ran wide, which allowed Marc Marquez to move up into second place.
Behind them, Bezzecchi’s teammate Jorge Martin lost a position at the start to Pedro Acosta but quickly took it back. A few laps later, there was an important moment when Di Giannantonio tried to pass Marquez at Turn 4. The move did not fully work, and Martin took advantage to pass both of them in one move and go into second place.
By this point, Bezzecchi was already more than two seconds ahead. His pace was stronger than everyone else, especially compared to the Ducati riders who could not match the speed of the Aprilia bikes in this race. Martin stayed in second place and tried to reduce the gap, but he could not get close enough to fight for the win.
In the final laps, there was another battle for third. Marquez managed to pass Di Giannantonio, but then made a mistake on the next lap and almost crashed. Because of that, he lost the position again, and Di Giannantonio finished third.
Further back, Ai Ogura had a very difficult start and dropped down the order, but he recovered well during the race. On the last lap, he passed Alex Marquez to take fifth place. This result helped Aprilia place three bikes inside the top five, showing how strong they were as a team.
Acosta had chosen a softer rear tyre and was fast at the beginning, but later in the race he lost performance and finished seventh. Fermin Aldeguer returned from injury and finished eighth, followed by Johann Zarco and Raul Fernandez completing the top ten.
Some riders had a difficult race. Francesco Bagnaia crashed while trying to move up the order, and Joan Mir also fell at a corner that caused many problems all weekend. Earlier in the race, Jack Miller and Brad Binder had already crashed out.
In the end, the race was mainly about control and consistency. Bezzecchi avoided mistakes, managed his pace, and stayed ahead from the start. With four wins in a row and every lap led in those races, he now becomes the rider to beat in the championship.
