EVANS AND JAGUAR FACE TENSION AFTER TEAM ORDERS AT MADRID E-PRIX
Mitch Evans and Jaguar could be facing a difficult moment after events at the Madrid E-Prix.
During the race weekend, Evans had a tough start after a poor qualifying session. This forced him to fight his way through the field, but he delivered a strong performance and managed to recover many positions. By the final part of the race, he was in a position to challenge for the win against his teammate, Antonio Félix da Costa.
As the race reached its final stages, the team made an important decision. Evans was given a team order not to attack his teammate and to secure a one-two finish for Jaguar. The New Zealander followed the instruction, but it was clear he was not fully happy with the situation.
After the race, Evans said he accepted the order mainly out of respect for his strong friendship with da Costa. The two drivers have worked together for a long time and share one of the most stable relationships in Formula E.
Even so, moments like this can create tension inside a team. Fighting for wins is a key part of racing, and being asked to hold position can be difficult, especially when a driver feels capable of winning.
This moment could also have an impact on the championship fight. The big question now is whether this will remain a one-time situation or the start of a bigger issue.
