HAMILTON DISMISSES RETIREMENT TALK AHEAD OF CANADIAN GP
Lewis Hamilton has made it clear that retirement is not on his mind as he looks ahead to the next stage of his Formula 1 career.
Speaking during Thursday’s press conference ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix, Hamilton responded to people suggesting that his time in the sport could be coming to an end. The seven-time world champion said he is still fully focused, motivated and planning for the future.
Hamilton said there are many people trying to retire him, but he does not see things that way. Instead, he is already thinking about what comes next and planning for the next five years.
The Ferrari driver also pointed out that he is still under contract, saying that everything is clear from his side. He added that he still loves what he does with all his heart and expects to remain in Formula 1 for quite some time.
His comments send a strong message that he is not ready to step away. Even with questions around age, performance and Ferrari’s future plans, Hamilton insists he still has the hunger to continue.
