FERRARI PREPARES NEW REAR WING UPGRADE FOR BELGIAN GRAND PRIX
Ferrari is set to introduce another important upgrade at the Belgian Grand Prix, continuing its aggressive development of the SF-26 despite recent scrutiny over rotating rear wing designs.
According to reports from Motorsportcom IT, the Scuderia has developed a new rear wing that is expected to provide around 11 km/h more top speed on the straights compared to the version currently in use. The update is aimed at improving straight-line performance without sacrificing the car’s overall balance.
The development comes despite recent concerns from the FIA regarding rotating rear wing concepts, which gained attention after reliability issues affected Max Verstappen’s Red Bull during the previous two race weekends.
Rather than stepping back, Ferrari has continued to refine its own design, remaining confident in the project and pushing to extract even more performance ahead of the second half of the 2026 Formula 1 season.
The new rear wing is expected to make its debut at Spa-Francorchamps, where long straights and high-speed sections place a premium on aerodynamic efficiency and top speed. Ferrari hopes the upgrade will strengthen its challenge against Mercedes as the championship battle continues.
