AKSHAY BOHRA GRABS FANTASTIC POLE FOR FRECA RACE 2
Formula Regional’s Sunday activities got under way at 09:50 AM with the second qualifying session of the weekend, that saw once again a R-ace GP go fastest, with Akshay Bohra this time around.
Group B started the session, meaning that drivers sitting in even positions in the standings went to the track first, de Palo, Bohra, and so on. The time was immediately stopped because the Akcel GP driver Saqer, found himself without the rear right tire on track.
The Race-GP cars have proved to be the fastest cars during the whole weekend. With Enzo Deligny dominating race 1 from pole position and a podium from Akshay Bohra in race 1, it is clear that they have set up their cars perfectly for this weekend.

Akshay Bohra and Enzo Deligny had total control throughout the session, making the life of runner-up Matteo de Palo more difficult on the fight for the championship with Freddie Slater. The Indian driver went on to take pole position for race 2 with a lap time of 1:38.503 ahead of his team mate Enzo Deligny and the runner-up Matteo de Palo.
Group A got on track with the drivers sitting on uneven position in the standings (Slater, Clerot…). Freddie Slater quickly set the pace with a lap time of 1:39.5, which is impressive for the beginning of the session, where drivers lap with a high fuel load.
Halfway through the session, the drivers started to set faster times to approach Akshay Bohra’s time. Saintéloc driver Nikita Bedrin set an impressive lap having the tow from Zachary David, and went up to P2.
The Brazilian Pedro Clerot struggled in today’s session. After qualifying P4 (P2 in his group) in Q1, the Van Amersfoort driver did not manage to put a lap together, ending up only P3 in his group.
Freddie Slater managed to set the fastest lap just 27 miliseconds slower than Bohra, meaning that he will start P2 in today’s race.

Race 2 gets underway at 14:00 CET Time.
