EMANUELE OLIVIERI TAKES HOME THE QUALIFICATION RACE IN MACAU

Emanuele Olivieri claimed victory in a hectic race marked by multiple twists and turns from the very first meters. The Italian, solid and consistent, came out on top in an event where chaos was very much present.

The start immediately shook up the order: Sebastian Wheldon and Kean Nakamura Berta, despite starting from the front row, made mistakes just a few meters after lights out, and ended up crashing at the braking zone of turn 3. The same happened to Rodrigues and Thomas Bearman, who had respectively taken P3 and P4 within the sector 3.

With a sensational overtake, Olivieri took the lead and never let it go, controlling every moment until the chequered flag, even under pressure from Fionn McLaughlin.

Behind him, Jules Roussel delivered a superb performance to secure second place overtaking Rintaro Sato at the very end of the race, who completed the top three.

The final lap brought even more drama with the retirement of Fionn McLaughlin, who had been closely following Olivieri and still hoped to make a move. A tough blow for the driver, who lost an important result at the very last moment, especially with the fact that he lacks track time for 2 free practice crashes.

With this victory, Emanuele Olivieri will start from pole position tomorrow, with Roussel and Sato alongside him for another intense showdown in the streets of Macau.
