EUROCUP-3: MATTIA COLNAGHI CROWNED CHAMPION AFTER AN EXEMPLARY SEASON

The 2025 Eurocup-3 season found its new champion at Jerez — Mattia Colnaghi. The Italian driver from MP Motorsport clinched the title after a consistent and perfectly managed campaign, defined above all by his remarkable steadiness.

A steady rise throughout the year

From the very first rounds, Colnaghi established himself as one of the most solid drivers on the grid. Regularly finishing inside the top five, he managed to avoid mistakes and make the most of every opportunity to score big points.

Facing fierce competition, the Italian gradually pulled away, stringing together podiums and securing several decisive victories, notably at Paul Ricard and Monza.

Jerez, the weekend of triumph

Arriving in Spain with a comfortable lead, Colnaghi only needed a handful of points to seal the championship. In the first race, he did most of the work by finishing on the podium, and then wrapped up the title before the final race by taking victory from pole position in Race 2.

A performance that perfectly reflected his season: clean, efficient, and free of unnecessary risks. MP Motorsport celebrated the success right at the finish line, praising the work of a composed and consistent driver throughout the year.

MP Motorsport on top

This crown marks another triumph for MP Motorsport, already a major force in Europe’s junior single-seater ladder. The Dutch team provided Colnaghi with a competitive car all season long, allowing him to showcase his talent at every venue.

Fierce but powerless rivals

Behind Colnaghi, several drivers tried to challenge his dominance, including Valerio Rinicella and rookie Ernesto Rivera — both quick but less consistent. Despite a few isolated wins, none could match the rhythm set by the Italian, whose discipline proved decisive over the course of the season.

A title for the future

At just 17 years old, Mattia Colnaghi secures his first major international title and confirms his potential. This success opens the door to Formula 3, where he will join MP Motorsport for the 2026 season alongside Alessandro Giusti and Tuukka Taponen.

The level he has shown this year in Eurocup-3 makes him one of the young drivers to watch in the coming seasons, sealing the title with 5 wins and 5 further podiums with a spare round.
