F1 ACADEMY HEADS TO ZANDVOORT: A CRUCIAL FIGHT FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP
The rolling dunes of the Dutch coast are set to rumble with the sound of the engines as the F1 Academy heads back to Zandvoort for Round 5 of the 2025 season. Famous for its old-school character, steep banking, and dramatic elevation changes, Circuit Zandvoort is as tough as it is beautiful.
With its tight corners and heavy braking zones, it’s a track that demands confidence and commitment, perfect for producing the kind of wheel-to-wheel action feeder series are known for.

Zandvoort stands out as the only European stop in a season that stretches across the globe, making it a key moment in the F1 Academy calendar. With just three rounds left after this weekend, the championship fight is starting to heat up.
All eyes are on Doriane Pin, who heads to the Netherlands on top of the standings after a podium and a win in Montreal. But the chase is far from over, as Chloe Chambers is closing in after her own recent victory from pole in Canada too, while the Dutch driver Maya Weug will have the backing of the home crowd.
Weug has already proven she can fight at the front with podium finishes earlier in the season, and the roar of local fans could be just the boost she needs, as she will try to fight for that runner-up spot in the standings.
Esmee Kosterman is the Wild Card of the weekend, and she will make her debut in the championship. Backed by TeamViewer and running a special livery, the Dutch racer will make her first F1 Academy start in front of a home crowd.

Preparation for this race, earlier in the summer, the teams spent two full days testing at Zandvoort, logging over 12 hours of valuable track time in varying conditions. That data will be crucial this weekend, especially with the possibility of rain on all three days.
With so much at stake and the title fight intensifying, Zandvoort promises to deliver one of the most dramatic and meaningful weekends of the season.
The drivers will head out on track at 10:10 AM on Friday morning for FP1.
