F4 MIDDLE EAST: BONDAREV WINS SEASON OPENER
The 2026 UAE4 season officially got underway this weekend at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, with a generally calm opening race, though still marked by a few overtakes.
Author of a solid and error-free race, Bondarev controlled the event, making the most of a strong pace throughout. Behind him, Andy Consani produced a stunning overtake on David Cosma-Cristofor to claim second place, confirming his status as a serious contender this season. The final spot on the podium went to David Cosma-Cristofor.
Behind the leading trio, several exciting battles shaped the race. The duel between Weiss and Craigie provided an intense fight over many corners, while Costoya and Cotty also went wheel-to-wheel, highlighting the depth and competitiveness of the field this season.
This opening race sets the tone for the championship: gaps remain tight, drivers already look comfortable, and the hierarchy could evolve as early as tomorrow’s races, with Andy Consani starting Race 3 from pole position.
