FAREWELL TO RENAULT ENGINES AFTER 44 SEASONS IN FORMULA 1

After 44 seasons, Renault Engine leave Formula 1 as announced with its shutdown in the production earlier this season.

A Renault engine took part in its first ever race at the 1977 British Grand Prix, with the Renault-Giordini team, who only participated in 3 races that year.

The first win came 2 years later at the South African Grand Prix with the same team, having Jean-Pierre Jabouille on the car.

In total, it was 771 races, with 11 drivers’ titles and 12 contructors’ championships won. 178 races won, the last being with Esteban Ocon at the 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix finishing with 361 podiums.

Farewell, Renault Engines.
