FRECA: DE PALO LOOKS TO TAKE THE CHAMPIONSHIP LEAD AT HOCKENHEIM
FRECA heads to Hockenheim this weekend for the penultimate round of the season, with Freddie Slater and Matteo De Palo tied at the top of the championship. Enzo Deligny and Pedro Clerot are also level on points, 28 behind the leaders.
De Palo confident, Slater under pressure
Matteo De Palo arrives in Germany full of confidence. The Trident driver won Race 1 in Barcelona and seized the championship lead, benefiting from a strong weekend to reverse the trend against Freddie Slater. The Italian will now look to confirm this momentum at Hockenheim.
For his part, Slater needs to respond. Long a championship leader, the British driver had a mixed weekend in Barcelona. Now closely pursued by his rivals, he cannot afford any mistakes if he wants to regain control of the championship. The future Trident Formula 3 driver has seen his runner-up and future F3 teammate catch up in the standings, drawing level. The Brit has not won a race since the weekend at Le Castellet.
Deligny lying in wait with R-ace GP
Just announced as a PREMA F3 driver for the 2026 season, Enzo Deligny continues his rise. Winner of Race 2 in Barcelona after dominating qualifying under challenging conditions, the Frenchman is proving race after race that he is a serious title contender, just 28 points behind. With the momentum gained in Spain and a confident R-ace GP team, he will be one of the men to watch closely in Germany.

Clerot still in the hunt
Pedro Clerot remains in contention, level with Deligny. After a strong weekend in Spain, the Brazilian aims to make a big impression in Germany. His consistency this season could prove crucial in a fight with Deligny for third place—or even for the title, which is now being decided by the smallest margins.
Kacper Sztuka Returns
Kacper Sztuka joins RPM for this weekend at Hockenheim. The 19-year-old Pole is currently fourth in the Eurocup-3 championship and has already completed two FRECA weekends, at Misano and Imola. His best result this season in FRECA is 14th.
The Hockenheimring challenge
Long straights, heavy braking zones, and fast corners: Hockenheim is a demanding track that will put drivers to the test. The weather, often unpredictable at this time of year, could also play an important role and shake up the order.
A decisive weekend
With just two rounds remaining, the championship is tightening and every point could tip the balance. Between a confident De Palo, a determined Slater, and an ambitious Deligny, the Hockenheim round promises to be a turning point in the season before the finale in Monza.
