JORGE MARTÍN AND MAVERICK VIÑALES RETURN FOR THE VALENCIA GP

This weekend’s Valencia Grand Prix will see two familiar faces back on track: Jorge Martín and Maverick Viñales. Both riders have spent weeks recovering from injuries, and their return adds an extra spark to the final round of the MotoGP season.

Jorge Martín’s 2025 campaign was shaping up to be one of his best. However, his season came to a halt in Motegi, Japan, when he suffered a heavy crash at the start of the sprint race. The incident left him injured and unable to continue for several rounds. Now, fully cleared to ride again, Martín aims to finish the year strong in front of the passionate Spanish crowd.

Maverick Viñales’ season took a difficult turn much earlier. The Aprilia rider was injured in a violent crash at the Sachsenring. He made an attempt to return at the Catalan Grand Prix, managing to complete three rounds before realizing he needed more time to heal. Doctors had originally estimated a 16-week recovery period, and Viñales has spent the past weeks focusing on rehabilitation and fitness to ensure a full comeback.

Both riders will face challenges in Valencia as they readapt to race pace after their layoffs, but their presence on the grid will be a welcome sight for fans and teams alike. The final race of the season often carries a mix of nostalgia and anticipation, and with Martín and Viñales back, it promises to end on a high note for Spanish motorsport.
