KEAN NAKAMURA-BERTA SEALS THE ITALIAN F4 CHAMPIONSHIP WITH A WIN AT THE LAST LAP
Kean Nakamura-Berta has won race 5 at Misano after chasing his championship rival Gabriel Gomez all race long, and managing to win it at the very last lap.
Gomez has had a very good start ahead of Bondarev and Nakamura-Berta, and managed to keep the lead after both Premas battled for the second place for the first few laps.
As Kean overtook Bondarev for the second place, he was immediately going after his Brazilian rival but a safety car came out on a collision between Francesco Coppola and Olkucka.
The green flag rolled and Gabriel Gomez once again opened the gap, but Kean was able to keep himself within the slipstream to stay right behind Gomez.
Kean managed to find an overtake at the exit of turn 7 and win on the very last lap of the race, to finish the season off with celebration for PREMA.
With 9 wins, 17 podiums and 9 pole positions, Kean seals a dream season to finish his Italian Formula 4 campaign, although he has still got the last Euro4 round at Monza to go. 365 points for Kean, 98 points ahead of Gabriel Gomez, with Wheldon finishing third with 253.
All three drivers are expected to race in FREC next season.
