TOPRAK RAZGATLIOGLU CROWNED 2025 WORLDSBK CHAMPION IN JEREZ

Toprak Razgatlioglu has won the 2025 World Superbike Championship after a thrilling final round in Jerez, Spain. The Turkish rider beat Italian rival Nicolo Bulega by just 13 points after a long and exciting season.

Razgatlioglu’s year was full of success. He won 21 races, including an incredible run of 13 wins in a row between May and September. This streak matched his own record from the 2024 season. He had only two retirements all year, one in Race 2 at Phillip Island and another in the Superpole Race at Jerez after contact with Bulega.

This victory gives Razgatlioglu his third WorldSBK title, following his wins in 2021 and 2024. It is also the first time he has won back-to-back championships. He continues to be the only rider from Turkiye to win a World Superbike title.

Razgatlioglu has been racing with BMW for the past two years and will now take the next big step in his career, moving to MotoGP in 2026. He will be the first WorldSBK Champion to join MotoGP since Ben Spies made the move in 2010.

With 78 race wins and 172 podiums in total, Razgatlioglu leaves WorldSBK as one of the greatest riders in the sport’s history. His journey from his first victory at Magny-Cours in 2019 to his final title in 2025 has made him a true legend of Superbike racing.

Razgatlioglu’s manager, Kenan Sofuoglu, who was a five-time World Supersport Champion himself, praised his rider’s hard work and determination. As Toprak prepares for MotoGP, fans around the world are eager to see how he will perform on the biggest stage in motorcycle racing.

He will join Jack Miller in Yamaha PRAMAC in the 2026 MotoGP season, and will be starting his career in the pinnacle of motorcycle racing on a high.
