UAE4 – ABU DHABI: VICTORY UNDER RED FLAG FOR MACCAGNANI AFTER CHAOTIC RACE

The UAE4 race in Abu Dhabi was delayed and marked by numerous incidents from the very first corners.

At Turn 1, a major crash occurred involving Kenzo Craigie, Weiss and Campbell Pilling. Pilling then made contact with Costoya, forcing both drivers to retire. Moments later, another incident happened at the same corner with the crash of Payton Westcott.

At the restart, the race came to life with an intense battle between Oleksandr Bondarev and Andy Consani, the two title favourites. Bondarev managed to pass Consani off track, a move that could potentially result in a penalty.

In the closing laps, the intensity increased with battles throughout the field, including a spectacular four-wide move into Turn 1.

The race eventually finished under red flag conditions. Maccagnani claimed victory at the end of a chaotic race, ahead of Emily Cotty in second place and Kenzo Craigie, who completed the podium and finished as best rookie.

A race full of drama and action, ahead of Race 3, where Andy Consani will start from pole position.
