NORRIS LEADS FIRST PRACTICE SESSION IN HUNGARY
Lando Norris has set the fastest time in today’s FP1, followed by his teammate Oscar Piastri in second place and Leclerc finished third.

What’s ahead after first practice session of the Formula 1 weekend
Formula 1 is back in action in Budapest, after a thrilling sprint weekend in Belgium, fulfilled with a lot of critics due to the FIA’s decision to delay the start of the race because of the rain, but let’s take a look at what happened in Formula 1’s first practice session.
Drugovich replaces Alonso for FP1, how did he do?
The first news from this morning was that Brazilian driver Felipe Drugovich replaced Fernando Alonso in Aston Martin for the first practice session due to the Spaniard having a muscular injury, but it is still unsure who is going to drive later in FP2. Will Drugovich have his first F1 race on Sunday? The Brazilian finished today’ session in P16, two tenths behind his temmate Stroll, who finished in P10.

The Mclaren set the pace, Ferrari right behind
As said before, Lando Norris has led the first practice session of Formula 1 with a 1:16.052, with his teammate Piastri in second place, only 72 milliseconds behind Lando. Charles Leclerc finished third today, 2 tenths behind the top 2, with Hadjar and Hamilton closing the top 3.
This session has been really important to study pace simulation, where the Mclaren drivers have been the quickest, and the Ferraris seem to be the second fastest. Mercedes have found some trouble going after their pace, with Russell reporting issues while turning the car, and Kimi Antonelli looking for redemption after some negative results, as the Italian has had a lot of trouble finding the pace in Belgium, because of the updates, and is willing to score some points on Sunday.
The Italian went back to the old suspension update to try to build his confidence back. The Italian scored points only in 1 of the last seven races, with the podium at the Canadian Grand Prix.

Whilst is yet to know whether Alonso will jump back in the Aston Martin, The drivers will get back behind the wheel at 17:00 CET time for the FP2 session, where they will get the closest conditions to tomorrow’s qualy session. It is yet to know whether Alonso will jump back in the Aston Martin.
