CADILLAC TAKES ANOTHER FRONT ROW LOCKOUT IN WEC QUALY

Cadillac Hertz Team Jota produced a stunning performance in Hyperpole qualifying for the FIA World Endurance Championship Six Hours of Fuji, securing a front-row lockout at the Fuji International Speedway.

Alex Lynn delivered a flawless lap in the #12 Cadillac V-Series.R, posting a 1m 28.236s to claim pole position by over four-tenths of a second. Teammate Earl Bamber ensured a Cadillac 1-2, guiding the #38 entry onto the front row. The #009 Aston Martin Thor Team rounded out the top three in a strong showing for the British marque.

In LMGT3, rising star Eduardo Barrichello, son of former F1 driver Rubens Barrichello, secured class pole for the #10 Racing Spirit of Le Mans Aston Martin. Barrichello’s benchmark 1m 39.981s lap was enough to edge out the #95 United Autosports McLaren by just 0.030s. United Autosports locked in a double podium start, with the #59 entry securing third on the grid.

While qualifying delivered drama at Fuji, the championship battles loom just as large. Ferrari remains firmly in contention for the WEC Manufacturers’ title, with consistent performances from the AF Corse-run Hypercar program putting the Prancing Horse in prime position.

In Hypercar, the #51 Ferrari AF Corse could clinch the crown, capping off a season of speed and resilience against stiff competition from Toyota and Porsche.

Meanwhile, in LMGT3, Manthey EMA’s #92 Porsche 911 GT3 R, branded under Manthey 1st Phorm, stands on the brink of securing the class championship for a second consecutive year, underlining the German squad’s dominance in GT racing.

With Cadillac holding the upper hand in qualifying, Aston Martin showing pace across both categories, and Ferrari and Manthey chasing historic title triumphs, the stage is set for a thrilling Six Hours of Fuji. Fans can expect a fierce battle not only for race victory but also for championship glory as the WEC heads into the decisive stages of the season.
