CADILLAC F1 TEAM ANNOUNCES FOUR SIMULATOR AND TEST DRIVERS
Cadillac has announced four simulator and test drivers for its Formula 1 program from the 2026 season, when the American team will debut in the series.

Pietro Fittipaldi is the first one: the American-Brazilian currently races in the ELMS and IMSA championships with LMP2 machineries. The 29-year-old has been visiting the Cadillac Headquarters for some months now and has finally announced his entry to the team as a test driver from 2026.
Pietro Fittipaldi stated on social medias: “I’m very proud to finally share that l’ve joined the Cadillac
F1 Team! We have been working together on the development of the team’s 2026 F1 car. As a sim driver together with my teammates we have been doing extensive simulator testing and full race weekend simulations to prepare for next season. It’s a privilege to contribute my experience to a project of this scale and to be part of a brand as iconic as Cadillac.”

The British Charlie Eastwood has also joined the American team. The 30-year-old has been racing in endurance, switching between ELMS and WEC since 2018 and was already part of a Formula 1 team, as a simulator driver for Mercedes some years ago. Charlie took part in six editions of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with 3 podiums and a class win in 2020.
Charlie Eastwood said: “I am honored to announce that I am joining Cadillac as a Simulator Driver. I will be able to contribute to their Formula 1 entry by supporting the team through simulator work and development programs leaning on past experiences. I want to thank Cadillac for the trust they have placed in me, especially at such an important time.”

The former Indycar driver Simon Pagenaud from France will be the third simulator driver in Cadillac. Aged 41 Simon Pagenaud left Indycar in 2023 after a severe crash at Mid-Ohio. He won the series in 2016 with the team Penske, taking home the Indy500 win in 2019 with the same team.
Alec Udell, who currently races with Corvette GT3 in IMSA, will be the final driver. He is the GT4 European champion of 2019.
