KEAN NAKAMURA-BERTA DOMINATES FINAL ROUND TO WIN E4 CHAMPIONSHIP 2025
It was a perfect weekend for Kean Nakamura-Berta in the final round of the E4 Championship. Already leading the standings before the event, the Japanese-Slovak driver from Prema Racing dominated the weekend by winning all three races. The fight for the title went all the way to the final race, thanks to Gabriel Gomez, who did his best to keep the championship alive until the end.
Nakamura-Berta finished the season with 181 points, with four wins, three second places, one third, and one fourth place. His team, Prema Racing, also celebrated the team championship, which they secured after Race 2. His teammate Oleksandr Bondarev won the Rookie title in the same race.
The female title was decided in Race 3, where Emily Cotty passed Ginevra Panzeri at the very end of the race to win the championship by just one point after a very close battle.
In the final race of the 2025 season, Nakamura-Berta started from pole position again, but Zhenrui Chi and Salim Hanna, both from Prema Racing, passed him at the start. Nakamura-Berta fought back and took the lead again.
Sebastian Wheldon and Reno Francot had an exciting fight for the top spots. Gabriel Gomez joined the battle after a great recovery from 13th place on the grid. One of the best moments of the race came from Kabir Anurag from Singapore, who used the slipstream to overtake two cars at once, Wheldon and Francot.
In the final results, Hanna finished second overall and was the best Rookie in Race 3. Anurag finished third, ahead of Gomez, who got a 5-second penalty and dropped from fourth to ninth. Wheldon also received the same penalty and fell to tenth.
Francot ended up fourth, followed by Alex Powell in fifth, after a close fight with teammate Andy Consani. The two Mercedes junior drivers even made contact during their battle. Powell managed to stay ahead after overtaking Niccolò Maccagnani near the end. Maccagnani finished sixth and was second among the Rookies, with Arjen Kraling taking third Rookie and Dante Vinci finishing eighth overall.
