THE ENGLISH COURT ACCEPTED MASSA’S DEFENSE REQUEST

The English court has accepted Felipe Massa’s defense request on the 2008 Formula 1 Singaporean Grand Prix case, which cost the Brazilian the World title that year.

In October, Massa, Formula One Management, FIA and Bernie Ecclestone have been to court to present the reasons to either continue with the case or not.

The judges have seen foundation on the ex-F1 driver’s conspiracy to go ahead with the trial in court.

Felipe Massa seeks $82 milion in damage compensation after he lost the championship 17 years ago, due to a race that in his opinion should not have happened, and does not intend to get the title away from Lewis Hamilton.

Even if the Brazilian wanted to, he would not be able to rewrite the outcome of the 2008 drivers’ world championship, as it would breach the FIA sportive regulations when a result is assigned.
