MAVERICK VIÑALES SET FOR RED BULL KTM FACTORY RIDE IN 2027?

In recent days, the Spaniard, 31, has been linked with a step up from satellite outfit Tech3 to KTM’s main team. These rumours have emerged due to the likelihood of star rider Pedro Acosta switching to a rival team.

Tech3, Viñales’ current team, could be going through several changes before 2027, and it appears KTM want to secure Viñales on a contract for that season. The Spaniard last rode for a factory team in 2024, where he secured one win at Austin during his three seasons with Aprilia.

This move may depend on other changes, such as the aforementioned departure of Pedro Acosta from KTM. The MotoGP rider market is expected to heat up over the next few months, with key figures such as Fabio Quartararo, Jorge Martín, and Pedro Acosta all potentially on the move.
