UAE4 – KENZO CRAIGIE IMPERIOUS AND DOMINANT IN QUALIFYING AND RACE
The day was marked by a commanding performance from Kenzo Craigie, who delivered impressive qualifying sessions, securing both pole positions and taking victory in Race 1.
The young Mercedes junior driver confirmed the strong form already seen in Abu Dhabi. He was consistently followed by Oleksandr Bondarev and Andy Consani in both qualifying and the race, the two clear title favourites.
The race got underway with several incidents on the starting grid, prompting the Safety Car at the end of the opening lap and resulting in multiple retirements. Behind the leader, Andy Consani battled to hold on to third place, while the race remained neutralised for a long period, with an extended Safety Car phase of around 20 minutes.
Once racing resumed, a few battles came alive in the pack, but Kenzo Craigie kept his composure, controlling the race to the chequered flag. He eventually claimed a narrow victory ahead of Oleksandr Bondarev, with Andy Consani completing the podium after a solid drive.
