KIMI ANTONELLI INVOLVED IN LATE-NIGHT CRASH IN SAN MARINO
Kimi Antonelli was involved in a car crash in San Marino late on Saturday night as per San Marino RTV. The incident happened while a Mercedes-AMG GT PRO 4MATIC+, a very rare model with only 200 units produced, was traveling toward San Marino City.
According to the Civil Police, the exact cause of the accident is still under investigation. For reasons not yet confirmed, the car suddenly lost control.
The first impact was with a roadside sign on the right side of the road. After that, the car was thrown back toward the center, hitting the central guardrail twice. It then continued across the road and finally stopped after hitting a retaining wall on the opposite side.
The entire sequence happened very quickly but covered a long distance. Authorities estimate the car traveled about 144 meters from the first impact to where it stopped. This suggests the car was moving at a high speed at the time of the crash.
It is still unclear who was driving the car when the accident occurred. The most important update is that Kimi Antonelli is fine and has no injuries. He is expected to be ready for the Bahrain tests.
