CONOR DALY JOINS DREYER & REINBOLD FOR THE 110TH INDY 500

Veteran American driver Conor Daly will return to the grid for the 110th running of the Indianapolis 500, partnering with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing for the iconic event at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The 34-year-old will drive the team’s No. 23 entry, as the Indiana-based outfit continues its tradition of fielding cars exclusively for the prestigious race.

Daly, who lost his full-time seat with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing during the 2025 IndyCar season, now has another opportunity to compete in the sport’s most famous race. His best result at the Indianapolis 500 came in 2022, when he secured an impressive sixth-place finish.

With a dedicated Indy-only team behind him, Daly will aim to surpass that career-best performance. He will be joined in the Dreyer & Reinbold lineup by Jack Harvey, who will drive the No. 24 car.

With Daly’s confirmation, the provisional entry list for the 2026 Indianapolis 500 now stands at 30 drivers. Among the notable names already entered are Ryan Hunter-Reay, Ed Carpenter, and four-time race winner Hélio Castroneves, adding further level to an already competitive field.

Several potential entries remain uncertain. It is still unclear whether Takuma Sato will occupy a fourth car at Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, while speculation also surrounds Colton Herta, who could return to IndyCar specifically for the race with Andretti Global following Marco Andretti’s retirement from full-time competition.

Another situation being closely watched involves PREMA Racing. If the team ultimately decides not to participate in Indianapolis, both Juncos Hollinger Racing and AJ Foyt Racing could expand their programs to three cars each, further increasing the size of the grid.
