BREAKING: NORRIS TO START CHINESE GRAND PRIX FROM THE PITLANE
Lando Norris will start the Chinese Grand Prix from the pit lane after his team found an electronic problem on his car before the race.
The McLaren driver had originally qualified in sixth place, which would have given him a strong starting position on the grid. However, the team discovered the issue shortly before the race began. Because the car stayed in the garage and did not leave before the pit lane closed, Norris is now required to start from the pit lane instead of the grid.
Starting from the pit lane means Norris will join the race after all the other cars have passed the pit exit when the race begins. This will make the race more difficult for him, as he will need to fight his way through the field to score points.
The electronic problem forced the team to work on the car during the final moments before the race. According to the rules, any car that is still in the garage after the pit lane closes cannot take its original grid position.
This setback removes Norris from a promising starting spot in sixth place and puts him at the back of the field for the start of the Chinese Grand Prix.
