LECLERC SUFFERS ANOTHER BATTERY RELATED ISSUE IN SPRINT QUALIFYING

Charles Leclerc lost valuable time during his final Sprint Qualifying lap after suffering a loss of power while on full throttle in the first straight. The issue cost him around three tenths of a second in total and immediately affected his overall lap performance.

During that section, Leclerc was recorded as going 11 kph slower than Max Verstappen, and also about 6 kph slower compared to his own earlier laps. In a sport where every fraction of a second matters, this speed deficit had a clear impact on his final result.

Despite the problem, Leclerc still managed to qualify fourth. However, without the power drop on the straight, he could realistically have been in contention for a front-row starting position, given the times were at the top.

His lap was not perfect even aside from the mechanical issue. The Monegasque driver made a few small mistakes across the lap, even though he had set the fastest time in the first sector, showing both strong pace and inconsistency within the same run.
