FORMULA 2: NOËL LEÓN WINS A THRILLING SPRINT RACE IN CANADA

The Formula 2 sprint race in Montreal once again delivered plenty of action, as expected. At the end of a chaotic race, Noël León claimed victory ahead of Gabriele Mini and Martinius Stenshorne.

Starting from pole position, Gabriele Mini managed his launch well to keep the lead. Behind him, Durksen made an excellent start, gaining three places to move up to P2.

Just behind, Noël León showed great aggression and quickly passed Durksen to take second place.

Out front, Mini began to build a gap, taking advantage of the fights behind him for P2. The entire field delivered exciting battles, especially in the opening laps.

Montoya was the first driver caught out, spinning in the final corner without major consequences.

The race turned after contact between Nikola Tsolov and Benett at the hairpin, sending the Trident driver into a spin and bringing out the Safety Car.

At the restart, Noël León immediately put pressure on Mini to fight for the lead and push for victory. A few laps later, Alex Dunne sent Durksen into a spin, ending his hopes of a podium finish.

Noël León took the lead of the race just before another neutralization.

Villagomez, who was fighting for a podium, hit the wall, triggering a Virtual Safety Car and ending his race. A collision between Shields and Varrone then led to Shields’ retirement at the start of the VSC.

At the end of a spectacular race, Noël Léon took victory ahead of Gabriele Mini, who had led for much of the race, and Martinius Stenshorne, who benefited from penalties applied to drivers ahead to secure a podium finish.
