REZA SEEWOORUTHUN TO RACE FOR RODIN IN FORMULA 3 IN 2027
Reza Seewooruthun will step up to the FIA Formula 3 Championship in 2027 with Rodin Motorsport. The British driver will remain with the team after racing for Rodin in the 2026 Formula Regional European Championship.
Seewooruthun finished 16th in the 2026 FREC standings, scoring two podiums during the season. He started the year strongly at the Red Bull Ring, taking second place in Race 2 before adding another podium with third place in Race 2 at the Hungaroring.
The 20-year-old began his single-seater career in the Ginetta Junior Championship after moving out of karting. In 2023, he finished third in the championship and took four wins. He then moved to British F4 in 2024, where he also finished third after scoring two victories and eight podiums.
In 2025, Seewooruthun stepped up to GB3 with Argenti by Prema. He finished fifth in the standings after taking one win and five podiums, and he was the team’s highest-placed driver in the championship.
His 2026 campaign marked Rodin Motorsport’s first season in the FIA Formula Regional European Championship. Seewooruthun was one of three drivers selected by the team for its first FREC campaign, alongside Alex Ninovic and Gabriel Gomez.
Rodin will now continue Seewooruthun’s development in FIA Formula 3, giving him another season with the same team and allowing him to carry his FREC experience into the next level of the FIA single-seater ladder.
“I’m proud to be staying with Rodin Motorsport as I move into Formula 3 next year. It’s an honour to make that step with a team I trust,” Seewooruthun said. He added that his focus in the months before the season will be on preparing for his first F3 campaign.
Rodin Sporting Director Benn Huntingford said Seewooruthun had shown promising pace during his FREC season and that his two podiums were important milestones in his development. The team will now work with him to build on that experience in Formula 3.
Seewooruthun becomes the second driver confirmed by Rodin for its 2027 FIA Formula 3 line-up, with Pedro Clerot also set to remain with the team for next season.
