INDYCAR AND INDYNXT AT THE MILWAUKEE MILE
Both Indycar and IndyNXT get to Milwaukee for their penultimate round of the 2025 season. With Indycar being decided already, IndyNXT is yet to decide its champion.
In a track which is a mile long (as the circuit is named), Dennis Hauger will be looking forward to seal the championship with a spare race. The Norwegian in fact, arrives to the oval round with a 54-point gap over his rival Caio Collet, and the only result he needs is to finish in front of the Brazilian to leave the weekend with the title.
Dennis Hauger led Free Practice 1, but his little experience on oval tracks talked higher during this season, as he is still winless there.

Caio Collet has already afirmed that he will not let the title go easily and will fight back as much as possible to delay it to Nashville next week.
On the other hand, in Indycar we already have the champion decided, his name is Alex Palou. The Spaniard won the title for the 4th time in his career during the race at Portland, joining Mario Andretti, Sebastian Bourdais and Dario Franchitti.
The Chip Ganassi driver needed to avoid being overscored by the Mexican Pato O’Ward by 13 points on the last round to win the title with two spare races. Pato had to stop on the pitlane for several laps due to a technical issue during the race. Therefore Palou did not even need to finish the race, and the championship was already over.
Going to Milwaukee this weekend, there are still many things to settle in Indycar. There is a tight battle for the rookie title between Robert Shwartzman and Louis Foster. The top 3 in the standings is also in contention, with Lundgaard hoping to give Mclaren two cars between the three first positions in the championship.
Alex Palou still has the chance to make history and join AJ Foyt and Al Unser winning 10 races in a season. The Spaniard is currently at eight now and has Milwaukee and Nashville to go for 2025.
Josef Newgarden has led Free Practice 1 at Milwaukee and is trying to regain confidence after a disastrous year for Penske, which up until now, has got only one win this season, with Will Power winning the Portland GP two weeks ago.

He finished ahead of the current champion Alex Palou and a surprising Conor Daly on the Juncos.
Drivers will get into qualifying shortly to set the grid for tomorrow’s race.
