F1 ACADEMY: ALISHA PALMOWSKI DOMINATES QUALIFYING IN CANADA
The F1 Academy qualifying session in Montreal confirmed the dominance of Alisha Palmowski, the main favorite this season. The Red Bull driver secured both pole positions for races 1 and 3.
Palmowski quickly took the lead of the standings, improving her lap times on every run to extend the gap over her rivals.
Behind her, Payton Westcott delivered a strong qualifying performance to take second place. Megan Bruce was the surprise of the session, completing the top 3 after a very solid showing.
Just behind this trio, Emma Felbermayr confirmed her strong early-season form by securing an encouraging fourth place for the races.
It is also worth noting the incident involving Ella Lloyd, who was forced to retire after hitting the wall and damaging her suspension.
Thanks to her outstanding performance, Palmowski will start from pole position twice, while the battle behind her looks wide open.
A disappointing session, however, for Lisa Billard, who only managed P10, nearly one second off Palmowski’s benchmark time.
Kaylee Countryman will start the reverse grid race on pole, ahead of Rafaela Ferreira and Alba Larsen.
