FERRARI BECOMES FIRST F1 TEAM TO RUN AT THE NEW MADRING CIRCUIT

Ferrari will make history by becoming the first Formula 1 team to drive on the new Madring circuit in Madrid. The Scuderia has been given permission by the organisers to complete a filming day at the venue, giving the team an early opportunity to experience the brand-new track.

Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will share driving duties in the SF-26, completing the maximum allowed 200 kilometres of running. The test will mark the first time a modern Formula 1 car has officially taken to the new Spanish circuit.

Although Ferrari will not introduce any new technical upgrades for this session, the team will still collect valuable information about both the track and the behaviour of the SF-26. Engineers will focus on understanding the circuit layout, grip levels, corners, and how the car performs on the new surface.

The running at Madring will also help Ferrari prepare for future events at the venue, providing early data before official competition begins. For the Spanish circuit, it represents an important milestone as it welcomes its first Formula 1 machinery.
