FORMULA 2: MARTINIUS STENSHORNE TRIUMPHS IN A CHAOTIC RACE

The Formula 2 feature race delivered huge entertainment, helped by tricky track conditions. This led to numerous incidents and several neutralisations. At the end of a demanding race, Martinius Stenshorne took victory ahead of Alex Dunne and Gabriele Mini.

At the start, drivers set off on a track that was still partially wet, making grip very low. At the front, Laurens Van Hoepen and Nikola Tsolov battled for the lead through the opening corners. The Dutch driver managed to keep the advantage over the Red Bull junior.

Despite leading the race, Laurens Van Hoepen suffered a crash in the final corner, bringing out the safety car. Bennett was also forced to retire after contact with Villagomez in the pit lane.

At the restart, Martinius Stenshorne and Nikola Tsolov fought for the lead, but Tsolov eventually spun in the final corner, losing any chance of victory.

Outside the top 10, overtakes and battles were happening everywhere. The race was neutralised once again after Villagomez retired following contact with Rafa Camara.

At the next restart, Stenshorne took the opportunity to build a gap at the front and pull away towards victory. Behind him, the fight for the podium intensified further. Rafa Camara also spun at Turn 1 while attempting to overtake Bilinski.

In the closing laps, Gabriele Mini and Alex Dunne were engaged in a spectacular fight for the podium. Another safety car intervention froze the positions after Dino Beganovic retired with an engine issue.

The restart lasted only a few moments before a collision between Ollie Goethe and Ritomo Miyata brought out a final neutralisation.

Martinius Stenshorne therefore claimed victory with control in a race full of twists and turns. He finished ahead of Alex Dunne, securing a one-two finish for Rodin. Gabriele Mini completed the podium after another solid race from the Italian.
