HAMILTON SLOWLY MAKING HIS MARK AT FERRARI

Lewis Hamilton’s first season with Ferrari in 2026 has started with strong and consistent performances against his teammate Charles Leclerc. After the opening part of the year, Hamilton has matched Leclerc in qualifying head-to-head, showing that both drivers are closely matched over a single lap.

In race results, Hamilton has had the upper hand so far, leading Leclerc 6–2 in Grand Prix finishes. This also includes two races where Leclerc did not finish due to DNFs, which has affected the overall comparison between the two drivers. Even with that context, Hamilton’s early results have been seen as a very solid start to his time at Ferrari.

Across the wider 2026 season, Ferrari have been competitive in the fight between Mercedes and Red Bull, collecting strong points and occasional podiums. Reports from the season show Hamilton already securing a race win for the team and regularly finishing inside the points, helping Ferrari stay near the top of the constructors’ standings.

Compared to his 2025 season, where results were less consistent due to external factors, the 2026 campaign has been a noticeable step forward. His pace in both qualifying and race conditions has brought him closer to the front more often, and his internal battle with Leclerc has become one of the key storylines inside Ferrari this year.
