LMGT3 POLE CONTENDER AT LE MANS DISQUALIFIED FROM QUALIFYING

The LMGT3 qualifying session at the 24 Hours of Le Mans has taken a dramatic turn after the car that originally topped the Q1 timesheets was disqualified due to a technical infringement.

The Racing Team Turkey by TF Sport #34, which had set the fastest time in Q1 with Peter Dempsey, was found to have an issue involving its diffuser after post-session scrutineering. Following the FIA’s inspection, the car was excluded from the qualifying results.

As a result of the disqualification, the #34 entry will now start the race from 25th position on the LMGT3 grid for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The ruling has also reshaped the competitive order for Hyperpole. With the disqualified entry removed from the classification, the Qatar Iron Lynx #62 has now been promoted and will take part in Hyperpole 1 on Thursday.
