MOTOGP ARRIVES IN BARCELONA AS APRILIA CONTINUES DREAM SEASON

MotoGP heads to Barcelona for Round 6 of the 2026 season, as the Catalan Grand Prix arrives at one of the most iconic venues on the calendar. After a dramatic opening stretch to the year, the championship battle is becoming increasingly intense, and Aprilia stands right at the center of it.

TEAMMATES ON A COLLISION COURSE AS APRILIA DOMINATES

Aprilia has enjoyed a sensational start to the season, winning four of the first five races and establishing itself as the team to beat in 2026.

However, success may soon create a new challenge inside the garage. Jorge Martin is pushing hard to recover ground in the standings against teammate Marco Bezzecchi, who has already claimed three victories this season. The internal rivalry is beginning to heat up, and history has shown many times how dangerous teammate battles can become when a title fight is involved.

For Aprilia, the situation could become a double-edged sword: dominance on track, but growing tension within the team.

MARQUEZ OUT, VINALES RETURNS

Marc Marquez will miss at least the next two rounds of the championship after suffering another injury setback. The Spanish rider fractured the fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot and has already returned home to begin treatment.

According to early expectations, Marquez could return within the next three to four races, depending on his recovery progress.

Meanwhile, Maverick Viñales is set to return to the grid this weekend after completing his rehabilitation from a shoulder injury. The Tech3 rider withdrew during Friday practice at the United States Grand Prix and spent a month away from competition.

Despite the time out, Viñales believes he can still fight for victories amid growing rumors surrounding his MotoGP future. Barcelona could be the perfect opportunity for the Spaniard to prove he still belongs at the front.

MARTIN CLOSES IN AFTER HEROIC LE MANS PERFORMANCE

Jorge Martin may have delivered the ride of the season at Le Mans.

Starting from seventh on the grid, the Spaniard produced a spectacular comeback drive, taking advantage of mistakes ahead while executing several aggressive overtakes. His decisive move on teammate Marco Bezzecchi at Turn 1 with just three laps remaining became one of the defining moments of the race.

Thanks to that performance, Martin now sits only one point behind championship leader Bezzecchi heading into Barcelona.

Can “The Martinator” leave the Catalan Grand Prix with the championship lead in his hands?

ALL EYES ON BARCELONA

The Catalan Grand Prix arrives with major questions still unanswered. Can Aprilia maintain its dominance? Will the rivalry between Martin and Bezzecchi explode into a true title war? And can returning stars like Viñales shake up the championship once again?

Barcelona may provide the answers.
