RED BULL REACHES 300 FORMULA 1 PODIUMS AFTER VERSTAPPEN’S BELGIAN GP RESULT
Red Bull Racing reached a major milestone at the Belgian Grand Prix, scoring its 300th Formula 1 podium after Max Verstappen finished third at Spa-Francorchamps.
The Austrian team achieved the landmark podium in just over 20 years since making its Formula 1 debut in 2005. Since then, Red Bull has become one of the most successful teams in modern Formula 1 history, winning multiple drivers’ and constructors’ championships.
Verstappen has contributed the largest share of Red Bull’s podium total, with the Dutchman responsible for 130 of the team’s 300 top-three finishes. His first podium with Red Bull came at the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix, his debut race after being promoted from Toro Rosso, where he also took his first Formula 1 victory.
The second biggest contributor to Red Bull’s podium record is Sebastian Vettel, who scored 65 podium finishes with the team between 2009 and 2014. During that period, Vettel won four consecutive world championships from 2010 to 2013 and helped Red Bull secure its first dominant era in Formula 1.
Mark Webber follows with 41 podiums, having been a key part of Red Bull’s rise during its early years. Daniel Ricciardo and Sergio Pérez are next, both having achieved 29 podium finishes with the team.
Other drivers who have added to Red Bull’s podium history include David Coulthard, Daniil Kvyat and Alexander Albon, each contributing two top-three finishes.
Red Bull’s 300 podiums have come during some of the biggest changes in Formula 1, from the introduction of hybrid power units in 2014 to the current ground-effect regulations introduced in 2022. The team has won eight Constructors’ Championships and six Drivers’ Championships, with Verstappen securing titles in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
With Verstappen still leading Red Bull’s current project, the team continues to add to a record that places it among the most successful organizations in Formula 1 history.
