F1 ACADEMY: PALMOWSKI TAKES VICTORY AFTER DOMINATING RACE 3
The final race of the F1 Academy weekend delivered an intense spectacle in wet conditions, with plenty of battles right to the finish. Despite a late mechanical scare, Alisha Palmowski managed to hold on and claim victory ahead of Emma Felbermayr and Megan Bruce.
Alisha Palmowski made a perfect launch and kept the lead ahead of Payton Westcott. Behind them, Megan Bruce immediately put pressure on Westcott, fighting for second place from the opening lap.
Further down the field, the start of the race was marked by an incident between Lisa Billard and Ella Lloyd, forcing the French driver to rejoin at the back of the grid.
Despite the contact and her starting position, Ella Lloyd began an impressive recovery drive, already breaking into the top 10 by the second lap.
The McLaren-backed driver quickly found herself in a fierce battle for seventh place with Ferreira and Alba Larsen. After a hard-fought duel with Ferreira, she eventually made the move stick.
In the closing laps, the fight for the podium intensified, with Payton Westcott defending against a charging Emma Felbermayr. The pressure eventually paid off, as Felbermayr forced Westcott into a mistake and moved up to third place.
The Austrian driver didn’t stop there: on the final lap, she overtook Megan Bruce to snatch second position.
Alisha Palmowski took the win with nearly an 11-second advantage over Emma Felbermayr and Megan Bruce. A rain-soaked Race 3 that brings an action-packed F1 Academy weekend to a close.
