COLOMBIAN SALIM HANNA CONFIRMED FOR F3 DEBUT IN AUSTRIA

Colombian driver Salim Hanna is set to make his FIA Formula 3 debut this weekend at the Austrian Grand Prix, stepping in for the injured Brad Benavides at AIX Racing. The change comes as the team is forced to adjust its driver lineup following Benavides’ ongoing recovery from injury sustained earlier in the season.

Hanna currently competes in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA) with PREMA Racing, where he has been gaining valuable experience in one of the most competitive junior categories in Europe. Despite being relatively new to the international single-seater scene, he has already shown consistent progress throughout the season.

In the current FREC standings, Hanna sits sixth overall in the championship, having secured three podium finishes so far. His performances have been strong enough to establish him as one of the more promising young drivers in the series, particularly in qualifying and race pace over longer runs.

He replaces Brad Benavides, who has been sidelined due to injury after the Sprint race at Monaco. AIX Racing has already used Ricardo Escotto as replacement driver in Barcelona, and Hanna becomes the latest driver to be given a chance in the series’ highly competitive environment.
