DUCATI CONFIRMS NO REPLACEMENT FOR MARC MÁRQUEZ IN BARCELONA

Marc Márquez will not be replaced by Ducati for the Barcelona round, with the team deciding to run only Francesco Bagnaia as its sole rider for the weekend.

Ducati is reportedly aiming to have Márquez back on the GP26 as early as the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello, which is considered the team’s home race and a key moment in the MotoGP season.

While a more conservative recovery plan would keep Márquez out until the following round at Balaton Park, Ducati believes that extended absence could be too costly in the championship battle, potentially allowing rivals to build a significant points advantage across three race weekends.
