FORMULA 2: KUSH MAINI TAKES POLE POSITION IN MIAMI

The Formula 2 qualifying session in Miami delivered on all its promises, featuring an exciting finale and an unexpected classification. Kush Maini secured pole position ahead of Rafael Câmara and Martinius Stenshorne.

For much of the session, Rafael Câmara led the timesheets, followed by Alexander Dunne and Martinius Stenshorne. The top five remained extremely close as the session approached its final moments, leaving everything open for the last runs.

However, the session was interrupted near the end. As drivers began their final flying laps, Martinius Stenshorne’s car stopped on track due to an engine issue, preventing any further improvements from the rest of the field.

Just before the interruption, Kush Maini managed to complete an excellent lap, which proved enough to secure pole position. Câmara had to settle for second place, while Stenshorne still held on to third despite his late-session problem.

Championship leader Nikola Tsolov could only manage 10th place, making his weekend more challenging.

With several drivers closely matched, the Miami races are shaping up to be highly unpredictable. Combined with the possibility of rain on Sunday and limited data available to the teams, the stage is set for an exciting remainder of the weekend.
